VOSc emission standard status

     In order to implement the supervision and enforcement of VOCs, various provinces and municipalities have promulgated local emission standards for VOCs. Although various VOCs emission standards have been issued in various places, there is no perfect national standard. The published VOCs landmarks have different degrees of difference in monitoring items and standard limits.

     I believe that with the continuous improvement of technical standards, the national standard will come out soon, and even based on the characteristics of the industry, VOCs emission standards for different industries can be issued to make the standards more targeted.

The significance of water-based industrial paint

     The thinner of traditional coatings uses a lot of organic solvents. These solvents evaporate in the atmosphere, which will cause harm to the health of construction and users, and will also cause environmental pollution. And because the solvents are flammable and explosive, there are also hidden fire hazards. According to statistics, the VOCs released into the atmosphere by the paint industry is the second largest source of pollution after automobile exhaust.

Water-based industrial paints not only have obvious advantages in environmental protection, but also have considerable advantages in other aspects:

     The use of water-based industrial paints can greatly reduce the toxicity of traditional organic paints that people bear, and at the same time, the occurrence of fire and other disasters can be effectively avoided.

     In the non-toxic treatment of waste, the waste generated by ordinary water-based industrial paint is easier to handle than traditional solvent-based paint.

     Economically, water-based industrial paints have more obvious advantages than traditional coatings. The water-solvent characteristics of water-based industrial paints determine this. Compared with traditional coatings, this solvent has more economic stability.

Process characteristics of water-based industrial paint

     The biggest advantage of water-based paints compared with solvent-based paints is the low emission of VOCs, which has the characteristics of low volatilization rate, high surface tension, high conductivity, corrosiveness and easy generation of bubbles.

     The volatilization of water in water-based paint is mainly controlled by controlling the temperature and humidity of the spray booth, while the solvent-based paint can adjust the solid content of the coating by adjusting the evaporation rate of the thinner. The solid content of the water-based paint is usually 20~30%, and the solid content of the solvent-based paint is as high as 60~70%, so the smoothness of the water-based paint is better, but at the same time, the heating flash drying area needs to be increased. Otherwise, there will be quality problems such as sags and bubbles.
